Today I visited my local town, Tamworth, I stopped by the Information centre to check out what exhibitions and events are happening in my area. Whilst doing so I came across a flyer for the Tamworth Society of Artists, which I was completely unaware of even existing! I returned to the comfort of internet access, and googled the organisation. It appears to be a place where guest artists come and everyone can draw, chat, or buy art. They hold exhibitions and meetings, and you can be a member too. Now, lets be honest here, it's not the most art-aware place in the world- its Tamworth- however, I love how these organisations exist in small towns and cities. It is support like this which helps people such as myself and other young people interested in the Arts to suceed, and have amazing opportunities which we may have not gotten before.
