So, the 11th hour of the 11th month has passed again for another year. Did you seal your lips for those two minutes of complete respect? Of course you did. It's worrying to think that soon the fortunate folk to make it through these tragic wars will soon be gone. So, is it even more worrying that some people, manly the younger generation, have such a little awareness of moments such as rememberance day? Of course it is! Ignorance will only leed to a repeat occurance (maybe) as we all are afraid will happen. How different would our country would be if we hadnt fought. I dread to think.
This post is a little intense, but yeah.

I smile when I see this...
So back to college today, which was interesting. Filled with presenting our blogs and research tasks for our new project, which is based on the in 1920-30s, war time, with an art deco inspired print. The end result should either be an evening dress or a mens evening wear. I'm... excited! I cant wait to get started, but for now I'm researching...meaning that the blog has proved a little naked todays. Apologies!
Earlier on in the year I was lucky enough to go to New York. It. Was. Amazing! The architechure, the height, the suprising aspect of space! Here are some pictures from my trip. I put more up in future posts.
I MISS NEW YORK!

WHAT VICE?
Ok. Just one thing before I go...
I honestly thought this was an obscene joke/lie at first! But the seriousness disturbs me! However obvious the guys at Vice are giggling at themselves! Check this out if you can stand all things really quite vile. Vice magazine is fast becoming my guilty pleasure... I shouldn't like them, but its so entertaining!!! And apart from moments of porn and sex with animals, the fashion and culture is a must read! AND the Gallows new video is exclusively on their site!!
A taster of what your about to see....
"Of all animals, having sex with birds is most impractical. Firstly, the buggers can fly, which makes them tough to woo/catch."

Did people ACTUALLY do that?
Seriously?
Well... you learn something new...

Cavewomanwoman.
Okay, so I love my blog, but sometimes I have to prioritise people. So, I won't be on here much today because I'm working on my personal statement and various tasks for UCAS. Along with my promise to the Mother that we'd get our hair dyed tonight.
However, I have been wanting to show you some of my creations! And one of my earliest ones is this, Cavewoman! It was the last year of High school and the tradition is to dress up, my friend (pictured) kindly asked me to make her this, and I was so so pleased with how it turned out.
Will this BC installment quench your blog thirst for today? Lets hope so!

my Sunday fix.
The new spring/summer collection
I am not a Acne genius, it has to be said, however, after flicking through their garments in New York in a pure snobbish manner I lifted my nose and turned away. But if the Acne s/s 10 collection had hands, it just slapped me hard in the face, because this collection is my Sunday fix this week.
Its wearable, street-wise, edgy... and I want every piece in that collection. The looks above are my favourites. I first looked at the pre-collection which was also as desirable, but this is rather lovely. The 80's trend is spreading fast, and whilst some designers are taking this to extremes,
this collection has hints of the trend, its not obvious, its sort of, reinvented itself.
Yum.
OutfitOutfit, Outfit?
I have not been lazy today.
Fact.
However!.. Its 4.45pm and Ive only just got dressed.
My step-nan works in a Charity shop ( which is a lovely way to have first dibs on the good stuff!) she picked this top up for me. I wasn't sure at first, usually these 90's cuts have a way of making my shoulders football pitch wide. But here I am, rocking it, I'm starting to like it.. Maybe I need to do a little cut&stitching? Thoughts? So yeah, my outfit of the day. I LOVE THESE SOCKS!
What I did with my Saturday Afternoon.
My self portrait.
As promised...
Not entirely happy with it to be quite honest. Also, I felt so self obsessed drawing myself, tracing myself, colouring myself in. Urgh. Enough! I did this last night, and considered ringing my Nan in Devon, just to see 'how she's doing' to counter act against my self-obsessed moment. But it was 12.30am, so I thought, best not. The thought was there my friends!

To distract you from my forgetfulness, cast your eyes on a Helmut Newton PIECE OF ART!
Love this, it's my screen saver.
Oh god..
Open day...
So, today. This fine and surprisingly bright Saturday. Today was the day of Northampton University open day. After seeing how they presented students work at Graduate Fashion Week I was curious to see if the work space reflected positively also. I photographed my day... starting with this open day. Saturday 7th November starts here.
Wake me up 'cat claw'.
They know what's important...
Frothy tea? Hmm.
So... I traveled. I saw. I asked. I snooped. I left.
I liked.
The university itself is in a lovely location, I mean its not London, but it felt comfortable. The building is well presented, my Dad kindly informing me that it most probably was a hospital before on account of the tiled walls beneath its outer skin. (I don't know this for sure) One thing I have to applaud them for is the amount of effort put in... there was a presentation- in, by the way, a very new lecture room with seats that get higher as you go further away- we then got a tour of the facilities. The main thing I noticed was how building felt like a university should, it was mature, and in no way had 'school-like' features. In the classrooms you are given your own 'pod' in which is yours to put up pictures to inspire you and work by yourself. I have never seen this before and think its a really great thing- this is an element which, correct me if I'm wrong, you would not find anywhere else.
Impressed? Yes. Is it London? No.
The search goes on...
