Between The Wars 2

So started looking into lingerie of that era, as the bra had first been made then and I found them really beautiful. Little bodices embroidered with flowers and lace. I thought this could possibly fit in with my previous design on drop waists. Maybe the instead of a corset underneath maybe there could be a little brasier? So I did a design, below, and looked at using embellishments but taking them to the extreme. Fringing with beads but as a skirt, this really interested me, so I decided to develop on this design, changing elements and seeing whether or not they work.

I tried a larger skirt with less beaded fringing, a full dress of beaded fringing and using the detail on other parts of the body such as the shoulders.
However I felt that I should move onto other parts of this project, as this is an immense time in history and I didnt feel like I'd researched it in depth enough.

I then started to look into garment manipulations, I found a picture I'd taken from RAF Cosford and thought it might be really quite beautiful if I recreated this on a garment. However it wasn't quite what I was looking for and didn't inspire me as much as I'd hoped. So I moved on again...
