Centurion.

Buckstyle strikes again. This time with an animation video promoting the seasons trend, studs. Using high street material, from New Look to Primark, Steve Doyles styling is rather edgy in this piece, considering the sometimes tackiness of the high street, he makes the jewellery look hard, back on trend and desirable. I suppose the model had a hand in that too, the young man looked like trouble, he's interesting, and even surrounded by flower petals, and wearing beaded necklaces the stereotype of man is destroyed. Apologies for the video being cut off.

Applause for the graphic designer? Caco Neves. Watch out for him guys, hes seems very talented, and when his name was whispered to me I did some snooping of my own.

I love this piece for SemDuble`

Christmas.

Sir Claus is nearly here, swooping around our skies once more for Christmas. Although I am a huge Scrooge this year. I am failing to feel the spirit that I do every other year. Maybe it's the fact that Fashion has made me the poorest student in the land? Maybe it's the factors in my life, such as university applying, portfolio building and Final Major Project thinking which is distracting me from the madness? Or... Maybe it's the fact that Christmas and glitter seems to be mating this year? (I DO NOT LIKE GLITTER) Who knows.
Saying this, when I was in Berlin I saw a man. Not just any man, I believe it may have been Mr Claus himself.

Ok, not quite. But.. check out those Art Deco railings.

I'm so happy.

It may be my Dads, but still. Love is present.

"Give ya a smack round ya chops if ya don't give me ma coke back... arse!"

Home sweet fucking home.

BerlinerBerliner

OK, it isn't often that I take days that should be fun filled with college effort and choose to go on holiday but ......

I love Ryanair!

My German born friend Lilo was kind enough to let me and a pal stay for a couple of days in her home in Berlin. How could I refuse?
Berlin is an amazing place to be, an incredible atmosphere; an almost family-like feeling, which smothers the community. The first thing I notice is the ability to be tactile with others, hugs and kisses are exchanged while the English will be ... "Come here. Shake my hand boy." The city isn't this stereotype of perfection, but that is what makes it so great. Graffiti is beautiful, people are openly happy and loving life. The amount of sour faced 'I'm-too-cool-to-enjoy-life' people in Britain makes me hurl.

Not completely dissing the English, of course. I am, and I be proud. But damn, I bloody annoy myself sometimes! Ha!

Also, nearly every person I was introduced to had a tale of when they studied abroad... just another push of pros I'm getting for Amsterdam University! The situation hurts my head.

Pictures of the trip, bitte?

Vamp it.

So the blogging has been dormant for some weeks. This makes me sad, and I hope you all are soaking up those salty droplets from your eyes and feeling completely lost without this blog.

Selfish?
Well I never.

So lets start the excuses, I have been in a huge project at college, and this sadly meant that something which took up my small bit of spare time had to be sacrificed. But no longer! I'm here, and will update as much as possible dudes.

The project we have been given is to make an evening dress. The dress must be;
ALL about print.
Inspired by Art Deco in 1920s
Inspired by 1920s and 30s
Inspired by RAF Cosford *

*A trip we had taken 5 weeks ago in which we observed aircrafts and unforms to use in our work for primary research to take inspiration from.

I'm feeling good about this project, its such a fantastic era and I'm loving the design sparks and tingles I'm getting when I hit the paper with my retractable. Only on this blog will be my complete journey through the design cycle of this project. From research to the finished garment, stay tuned kids!
