A 'Bert' moment.

A few weeks ago I was walking across Birminghams city centre and noticed this. A chalk drawing, which reminded me of the scene off Mary Poppins, as I imagined myself hopping into the picture, this got me thinking about how art spurs different emotions, or triggers an memory, which is all individual to the person in hand. For example, this made me feel happy, people hurrying to their day in the concrete bubble find the time to stop and appreciate this. The simple fact that someone has taken the time to do this so inspiring to me.

In the middle of June I entered a competition, that my college- Birmingham Metropolitan- put forward. The competition was to make an illustration to be featured on the goodie bags for The Sunday Times Style In The City. I heard the news that I had won late August time. I was so suprised but its such exciting news. 10000 of these bags were given out on the 24th-26th September at Style In The City. Happy days.
